Follow the UX Process

1a. BoD: Learn, Participate, Document

October - January (4 months)

• Learn the basics of the organization: who we are, what we do, and how we do it before you make decisions about what you'd like to see change.
• Participate in event planning and management activities.
• Document what you're learning to create the tools and templates that might help others that come after you.

1B. Event Team: Recruit, Train

• Volunteers are assigned to roles, with alternates available.
• Volunteers are required to make a minimum commitment.
• Volunteer leaders facilitate relationship-building - through events, special design studio tours, etc.

2. Reevaluate Strategy and Create Business Plan

• Strategy should be realigned to the research done to understand business needs (driven by a mission to advance the UX profession locally) and user requirements.
